The Art Institute of Chicago Saints and Heroes exhibition incorporated the development of a new digital explorer app installed on iPads and large format touchscreens mounted in custom casework throughout the newly renovated Arms and Armor galleries. The application was built from the ground up including  an easy to use WISYIG design interface allowing curators to easily add and edit content on the backend and a robust web based frontend allowing iPad content to be managed easily throughout the life of the devices. As a part of the digital team I managed the design process and specifications for hardware and casework, systems integration with the museums database, QA testing and troubleshooting for front and backend, in gallery deployment and maintenance.
